The 12TH EXPO YUME! SAKURA was held on Oct. 22nd. and 23rd. This unique event, also called as festival of learning, introduces a variety of learning opportunities to citizens of Sakura City. The Booths and Activity Space included various activity groups, classes for arts, hobbies, cooking, etc. Visitors enjoyed excercises, demonstrations, live performances of music and singing in chorus, and so forth.
On Sunday over 400 people, young and old, visited our booth titled, “Taste the Snacks from around the World ” at Ujiie Gymnasium. The visitors enjoyed 8 kinds of cookies, chips and other snacks mainly from Europe and tasted Papaya juice from South Africa. Several students of Ujiie Middle School joined us as volunteer staff and helped visitors.
Sakura International Friendship Club opened their booth titled, “How to brew and enjoy Brazilian coffee!” Many coffee lovers came and enjoyed the genuine flavor and taste of Brazilian coffee prepared by Ms. Christiane Kikuta originally from Brazil.
